My new cover of “Mad World” by Tears for Fears is out now! You can stream it on all digital platforms and purchase it here. I recorded this song almost a year ago, never imagining we would find ourselves in the situation we are in today in the midst of a global pandemic. I’ve always been able to relate to this song, but it feels more relevant right now than ever before. These are difficult times, and it is my hope that this song might bring you a little comfort like it brought me when I sang it.
Special thank you to Nathan Yaccino for producing the song, Chris Cunningham (Dark Details) for creating the music video, KEXP 90.3 for spinning it on air, 107.7 The End for premiering the music video (read what they had to say here!), and Patrick Toney for creating the cover art. Thank you for being here and for listening!
Congratulations to Pearl Jam on the release of Gigaton! You can hear me sing harmonies on track #8, “Take the Long Way”. I am so proud and honored to be a part of this record, as the first female backing vocals on any official Pearl Jam release. You can pick up your copy of Gigaton here, out now!
My new music video for “South of Sound” is out now! Written and directed by Chris Cunningham [Dark Details] with cinematography by Dylan Priest. Filmed in the summer of 2019 in various locations around Seattle, WA.
I present to you my cover of Radiohead’s “Creep”, performed live at The Ballard Baitshop in Seattle, WA with Sophia Duccini. This song has moved me deeply throughout my life, and it’s been an honor and a joy to sing it every night on tour this fall. Special thank you to Luke Dumke for capturing this video, and to Nathan Yaccino for audio recording and production.
Today is the day! My new record, Swansea, is officially out in the world! I spent years making this album and gave it everything I have. Now it is your turn to take these songs and make them your own.
I wrote this record about various experiences I’ve had with loss – the loss of love, the ending of relationships, and the death of a friend. Swansea is my concept of a place – the place where we go when we lose someone. In the Swansea, we find ourselves faced with our own solitude and loneliness, but we also find strength in remembering how to stand on our own two feet. I hope that my songs bring you comfort and healing if that’s what you need, make you feel inspired, or move you in some way. This record was very therapeutic for me to write, and it is my greatest pleasure to pass it on to you today. I have never felt more proud of something that I made. Thank you for taking the time to listen, and thank you for your love! #lp3swansea
