I’ll be taking a break from recording my new album to perform at the Fisherman’s Village Music Festival on May 17th! This is the first year of the festival and it is being put on my the Everett Music Initiative. As you can see, the lineup is amazing. I’ll be looking forward to bringing my music to Everett and I hope to see you there!
I am so proud to share a name with Lemolo Baggage. I was recently gifted two Lemolo bags to use while traveling on tour, and they are the most beautiful bags I have ever owned. Lemolo Baggage is a small Portland company that makes high quality weather-proof bags. They are made in small-run and limited edition batches, and it is evident that each one is made with love. You can visit the Lemolo Baggage website to see all of their wonderful work. A special thank you to Lemolo Baggage for letting me sport your wares! Enjoy! Meagan
Last week I had my first glimpse into the world of fashion and was invited to perform at the Seattle grand opening party for ZARA. A special thank you to ZARA for allowing me to share my music and for taking these beautiful photographs.
In November I spent a weekend in the studio recording demos of my new songs. My intention was to keep the recordings to myself, and use them to help me decide which songs I should include on my next album. After my first listen I fell in love with “White Flag”, and knew that I wanted to forego my plan and share it instead. It was recorded in just a few takes and it isn’t mixed or mastered. It’s in the raw and I think that’s why I love it so much.
Shortly after my recording session I started talking with my good friend Adrian Centoni about filming a video together. Lemolo has played shows with Adrian’s band, Colonies, over the years and I knew he would be a treat to work with. The timing seemed perfect to record a video to my demo of “White Flag”, and as soon as he explained his vision for the project I was in. We took a trip to Mt. Rainier National Park, and we spent the day galavanting in the snow and exploring narrow forest roads. A special thank you to Adrian Centoni and Terence Ankeny for withstanding the cold so this video could happen.
I hope you enjoy this video for my solo version of “White Flag”, filmed and directed by Adrian Centoni.
