“I’m Just A Happy Kid”:

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to our show at Neumos last night! Kendra and I had the time of our lives playing on that stage, and we hope you enjoyed yourselves as well. For those of you who couldn’t make it, we were lucky enough to have our friend, Nelson Barnard, run sound for us, and he did a phenomenal job. We also enjoyed the amenities of a real green room…free arcade video games and an epic Nada Surf sing-along session with the fellows of Conservative Dad, The Mopes and Colonies. We played an almost entirely new set of songs, so please let us know what you thought of them! Here is a photograph taken by my dear friend and devoted Lemolo fan, Aaron Yoon. (He is the one responsible for the group clap breakout during our closing song, “Beautiful Night!”) More photographs to come in a few days…

Am I Dreaming?

Holy cow, in exactly two weeks we will be gracing the stage at Neumos! The show is all I have been thinking about, and I cannot tell you how excited I am. Kendra and I have been practicing almost every day, and have 5+ new songs for you. What an amazing thing to be playing on the same stage as some of my biggest inspirations. I really hope you can bring some friends and come on out to the show!

Love,
Meagan

P.S. Happy Birthday Kendra!

My Love Has Returned:

in the form one of my favorite bands Shearwater. Their new album is so beautiful, I can’t get over it. Meagan and I had the pleasure of seeing them at Sasquatch last year in a very small crowd (because everyone was seeing Animal Collective instead) and it was the best show of the whole weekend. We also got to hug the drummer (as well as a mean clarinet player) Thor after the show! He’s so bad-ass.

Enjoy this track off their new album “Hidden Lakes”

Kendra

“Well I Can’t See The Future But I Know It’s Got Big Plans For Me”

Well it has been a busy few months for the Lemolo gang, and I want to keep you in the loop. Although it may seem like we have been lying low these past few weeks, we have been hard at work behind the scenes and there is a lot to look forward to!

We successfully ordered the first copy of our EP, Lounge Light, and we will be receiving it in the mail next week. Once we check it over for mistakes, we will place the big order of a few hundred copies! We are waiting to hear back on a solid date for our CD release party show, and it is tentatively planned for April at the Sunset Tavern. We also have more shows in the works for April, and will most likely spend the month of March continuing to practice and write new songs. And let me tell you, we have lots of new songs in the making!

Here’s to the future,
Meagan

Can’t Stop Bloggin’:

So much inspiration right now! I have officially decided that I want to first marry the drummer of Wildbirds & Peacedrums and then force him to give me free drum lessons. Win, win situation right? Right.

Hope to see you all at Skylark on Valentines Day!

xoxo,
Kendra
